WhatsappTime

WhatsappTime's purpose is to bring WhatsApp, the highly popular mobile chat application, to your desktop. It offers the same features, including the possibility of chatting with anyone, over any distance for free, but on a computer. In other words, it is another application which bridges the gap between computers and mobile phones, in terms of communication.

The software is absolutely free, it works on all modern Windows versions and there are also Mac and Linux editions coming out soon. It can be installed in a matter of seconds and it doesn't have any special requirements, apart from a working Internet connection. If you are not on your own computer, you can use a web-based version of the application.

Once you install and run WhatsappTime, you will have to log into your WhatsApp account. Since there is no username and password to speak of when it comes to WhatsApp, the login procedure is more interesting and much easier. All you have to do is scan a QR code, presented on the user interface, with your mobile phone. A few quick instructions are available on the same page, for different phone models.

It has to be mentioned that the login procedure is seamless. Once your phone recognizes the QR code, you will be logged in on the desktop interface instantly. You can find your contacts on the left side of the window and exchange messages with selected people or groups on the right side, where the chat environment is almost identical to the WhatsApp mobile app.

WhatsappTime lets you enjoy all the features you would expect to find in the mobile app. Besides exchanging text messages with your contacts, you can also send and receive pictures and voice recordings, add emoticons and so on.
